Are only educated independent minded people able to understand and identify the well thought out intricacies of the whole sick structure? They likely are not happy or fulfilled, Christy. A lot of rich people have everything they could ever want, and what we "common folk" can only fantasize about. They spend most of their lives trying to find "that next and different thing" that they hope trips their trigger, if only briefly.
They are also addicted to their wealth. There is no such thing as there being enough. EVER! Much like an alcoholic or drug addict, there's no satisfying the need of a lot of wealthy people. My personal belief is the foundation of this network is to move everything, and everyone, out of the way that is a barrier to even more cash flow to feed their addiction. With the lower and middle classes gone, or severely compromised, their cash flow increases significantly. Only if they're successful, will the wealthy then be forced to cannibalize each other to continue to feed their addiction.

I did read deeper into this. I began studying all this in my spare time beginning in the late 1990s, then started on a graduate degree in sociology more formally looking into this after the 2007-08 financial crisis (you can imagine the accusations I received from traditional academia). Here's my issue: Whether you call it a cabal, a conspiracy, a machine, a system, a circuit of elites, dollar hegemony, whatever, it's still the same thing, no matter how eloquent the language or the linquistic acrobatics you use to refrain from saying what really is going on (and I won't say it in public either), a tiny group of people "control the narratives." All the narratives. Which has been true since time immemorial. The only difference from nation to nation, society to society, community to community is the degree to which the "system" is constructed to allow a few "from the masses" to move upward into the elite strata. The post WWII American system did allow some movement for a few decades, then it changed. The affluent, the influential, and the a priori privileged run things and your job as an individual is to recognize that and do what you can/want with it. All this is why I now resort to satire to rationalize what is going on.

And don’t forget the breakdown of the American family that gave up their daughters through neglect, abuse or even the promise of wealth. I know that all the stories of the victims are different and they were recruited from various backgrounds, but they share one variable. They were vulnerable. The American family in this society needs more support than they are getting; starting with affordable child care and ending with affordable college tuition. Both should be readily accessible and available in the wealthiest country in the world.
