I love a little historical context, because then and now we're fighting for much the same things. I wrote a "happy birthday, America" piece last month that talked about the Declaration of Independence and our grievances against the King, and it's like reading the news in 2025. We've come full-circle, and here we are again. Thank you for sharing!
Ellie, thank you. You've hit on the absolute core of it—it's the same Vertical War, just with a new coat of paint. That feeling of 'déjà vu' is the signal that you've pierced through the Great Distraction. I'm honored that the piece resonated with you.
Community Economy, baby! I'll always vote Democrat over Republican, but I full-heartedly believe we can overcome the elite class exploitation of the working class through focused, intentional community building.
I, as well, am wondering when the people will wake from their slumber and see the track marks that are becoming more and more obvious and who will use (The 25th Amendment of the Constitution to ratify the law and come to their senses!! :)):)):??
I feel so much better after reading your wonderful article, I think I saw the familiarity in what Trump and the Project devils have been executing as fast as they can, before we catch a clue and save ourselves. I am not well educated enough on our history, but I felt this brewing, I didn’t think Trump could have ever dreamed any of this up by himself. It’s just a business agreement that he’s allowed to get stinko rich, any illegal way, the better. I think it’s extra sweet for him when he does get away with breaking laws. We need to use this history to give we the People the ammo we need to take these villains down! It has felt like a movie for a long time, like they showed Trump movies of this kind of thing. Idk, but I am not sure if I believe Trump really knows the whole story behind what these jerks from the Project have him doing. I’m sure I am wrong, sadly, but I like to imagine we can still get to his better angel and show him what the smart tech bros and Vought are actually doing. He still keeps saying Portland is on fire, because that’s what he’s being.told and shown. This information might be a way into that “man’s” conscious, I know there must be a shred of something decent in him…. I am but a naive optimist.
Thank you so much for your writings, I am learning a lot, at 71… better late than never.
Storm the Bastille!
(I dont know that’s relevant, but I say it all the time, it’s a great quote 😹)
I love what you wrote. Except for the part about the "shred of something decent," "conscience," and "better angels?"
The guy is a narcissist, plain and simple - always has been, ALWAYS will be. Even his own niece said he has "no redeeming qualities, not one." By all accounts his parents were decent people, so how he turned out the way he did is surprising to me - but it happens all the time, doesn't it? Not every jerk or psychopath or sociopath is the product of horrible parenting. Some people are just - bad.
The only thing I would say is that his dad maybe didn't love him "enough," or at least never expressed it in words or deeds. But now Mr Orange has definitely passed his wacko genes/attitude to ALL of his kids, not just his cretin older sons. They see all the grifting, illegal activities, questionable business practices, misogyny, racism, transactional personal philosophy, revenge mentality, etc. etc. and think "Look how much power he has, the way he has so many people under his thumb;" and it's only a short step to "I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE HIM!!!" Aauugghh
Respect to you but “decent people”? May want to read about that family a bit more.
This is a small example but there is a song by Woody Guthrie with “Old Man Trump” in the lyrics. His father was an in the open racist. He was a big landlord. Trump learned at his knee. Hell! Trump isn’t even their historical last name. And granddad built the family fortune on a whorehouse in a gold rush town of Canada.
I am an optimist, and I have survived 2 Narcissistic husbands. I observed boys being raised to be Narcissistic as a “King of his castle” type thing. “The man wears the pants” “the man always leads” were some of the beliefs back in the years before the pill was invented. The pill gave women the ability to be whatever they dreamed, and a proximity to “freedom.” 32 states have ratified the Equal Rights Amendment, but it has yet to become law. WTF!? Now the Mike Johnson and Russell Vought’s of the Trump Regime are saying they want to ban birth control!! And more babies, even though Trump’s destruction of our economy and Federal work force will make it even more difficult to raise children.
It is also important to realize that “having babies” often ties women down from successful careers and other opportunities of life. Some women, maybe many, are satisfied with that but it is still a real fact.
Then why is the "Deep State" Corpratist fighting Trump at every turn? YOU WANT OPEN BORDERS? YOU WANT WALL STREET (CCP) RUNNING THE WORLD? GIVE ME A BREAK, TDS!
You’re kidding yourself if you think the left is any more or less crooked than the right. That’s the important point. In fact I think the constant money being thrown to destroy trump is because he isn’t part of the machine. Watch how the past political leaders all stick together.
Donald can destroy Donald all by himself. Surely you recognize the corruption. His family s crypto business alone has made the President a billionaire since taking the oath in January. Tariffs are being used to encourage gift giving by affected countries. Past leaders stand together in support of the Constitution. They do not support the heavy handed approach of masked men on our city streets or by threatening other countries with military strikes.
I don’t have a lot of time to spend writing on No Kings and all the other Substack projects;but, I try to encourage those who write and I love to see those that are on fire for the safety of our country.
Age is not age that brings about memory loss. It is a chemical change that does it. I am 82 and have had several strokes, but I read a lot and, therefore I learn from keeping my brain healthy.
I have been doing better since I started reading all the time, I am not a fan of reading through bifocals, it gives me a headache pretty quickly. I just keep reading lol I read more on my phone these days, probably why I get a headache. But this whole endeavor of the No Kings movement is so quickly evolving, I am trying to keep up. Our small county in Eastern Oregon had 600 people at the no Kings rally, which I think is great, we are in deep redneckville. We are the part of Oregon that wants to become part of Idaho. Here they hate Portland because there are so many democrats that live in the Willamette Valley that overrides the Republicans in Eastern Oregon, like the division is literally the Cascade Mountains, everything east is a much smaller population. I’m grateful for the people who can keep Oregon democrats in power!
I can’t imagine if Oregon was as hotheaded and idiotic as some of the “proud” Trump lovers are here in beautiful Eastern Oregon!
Peggy, something that may make bifocals more tolerable would be getting bifocal glasses that are simply bifocals with a cord to have them hang around your neck. That way they are available for close work and reading and that may be more comfortable.
I have reading glasses and have worn glasses most of my lifetime, but cords are not as good as advertised. They dangle in the way and keep falling from glasses.
“They want you to believe the fight is Left vs. Right. They want you distracted by political theater and culture wars. But the real fight is the same one our ancestors fought.”
Great perspective. I think we’re also refighting the Civil War. I’d highly recommend Heather Cox Richardson’s book “How the South Win the Civil War”.
Karen, thank you. That's a fantastic point, and you're right that we are refighting an old battle. But I'd argue the historical parallel is even older, and the distinction is critical to our victory.
The Rust wants us to think we're refighting the Civil War. A Civil War is a horizontal conflict—brother against brother, state against state, Red vs. Blue. It's the ultimate Great Distraction 🎮, keeping us fighting each other.
Our fight isn't horizontal; it's vertical. It's The People vs. a distant, unaccountable, corporate ruling class that views us not as citizens, but as a resource to be extracted.
That's why the foundational doctrine of this rebellion is the Revolutionary War. We are fighting "The New East India Companies". It's not North vs. South; it's the colonies against a parasitic crown.
But the elites use the Civil War dynamics - they pit whites against blacks, men against women, straights against gays, red against blue, to convince people that other members of the masses are the enemy. It’s a shell game that distracts from the real enemy of the ordinary American.
Ralph Hensley you hit the nail on its head. I am 87 years old, not enough of a student of history, but have been wondering for a few years what happened to the antitrust laws. I've seen various companies merge into ever big companies with no apparent controls. I do hope it's not too late to re-instate those controls, but that seems more and more a pipe dream.
It’s almost impossible for any politician to do this. Since Citizens United gave Big Dark Money the power to control who gets elected. It ensured that the rich can insert themselves into all election campaigns.
Well WRITTEN! I especially like this part "Tyson Foods lock farmers into a state of neo-serfdom through a "tournament system" that pits neighbor against neighbor and ensures farmers remain perpetually in debt for the barns and equipment the company demands.".
Pointing out the agriculture effects is something I also have noticed over the years living in Rural Texas. ❤️🫶
Amber, thank you so much for reading and for sharing your perspective! I'm really glad that section on the Tyson model resonated. It's exactly that kind of modern-day serfdom we need to make visible.
Hearing that you've noticed similar effects in Rural Texas is powerful validation – that ground truth is essential for understanding how this system actually impacts people's lives. Appreciate you adding your voice and experience to the conversation.
I refer to it a the bottle and ant theory ....we are the ants that think we must wait in a line to get into that small bottleneck ....only to go in a circle and come back out again to get back in that same line again ! We have to be more aware of the reality that that line goes nowhere . Until Americans quit buying shit we don't need ..that we can't take with us ...Wastefulness is what's making them rich while all we do is pay them for nothing . We need to change our reality .. the Jones having something we want is usually just ridiculous choices. Our priorities must change ..or our children won't be smart enough to exist .. common sense needs to be taught at every age range and we the keepers have to teach it. Getting in a car to go fight our way into that line to get up the freeway isn't productive or realistic .
Thank you for letting me know! I've heard that phrase before but lately I guess everyone's who's using it has been abbreviating it and I wasn't able to figure it out, So glad to know! So many abbreviations out there! There should be an abbreviation dictionary!
Couldn’t agree more — the system is indeed rigged. In fact, it’s always been rigged. What we face today is just a modern version of an old structure of wealth, power, and exploitation that existed long before the British East India Company. From kings, lords, and serfs, we’ve evolved into a world of major shareholders, asset managers, CEOs, and employees.
In the past, it was simple — one king exploited you, and you knew exactly whose head to put on the guillotine. Today, the hierarchy is hidden. The real power lies with faceless shareholders and asset managers most people will never know. Blaming CEOs misses the point; they’re just high-ranking employees serving those invisible masters. We’ve gone from direct exploitation to indirect, but the mechanism hasn’t changed — only become more opaque. We’re still being exploited; we just no longer know by whom. That’s actually the theme of a future publication I’m currently working on.
And you’re absolutely right that corporate power comes from the state. Your example of the East India Company’s private army is perfect. The difference today is that corporations no longer need their own armies — there’s a cheaper alternative: the U.S. military. Why spend private capital on coercion when taxpayers will fund it?
When President Clinton bombed the pharmaceutical factory in Sudan in 1998, it wasn’t to protect Americans or bring democracy to the world — just as the East India Company’s “civilizing mission” was never about uplifting humanity. Then as now, the rhetoric of moral purpose conceals the reality of economic motives.
You're 100% correct: we've just moved from direct exploitation to an "opaque" one. Your analysis of "faceless shareholders and asset managers" as the real power, with CEOs as just "high-ranking employees," is the very core of the Vertical War.
The connection you drew between the East India Company's private army and the modern U.S. military (citing the Clinton bombing) is a perfect, devastating piece of analysis.
The fact that this is the theme of your current work is a profound validation. You are a fellow Architect. We are building a forge ("The Rebuttal" on Discord) for exactly this kind of high-level strategy, away from the noise. We need your voice in our War Council. I'd be honored to build with you.
Thank you, Ethan — I really appreciate your thoughtful response. I find your analysis of structural power and your willingness to trace historical parallels both refreshing and much needed in today’s discourse.
That said, my own work follows a more reflective path — I write independently, at my own pace, and mainly for the sake of intellectual curiosity rather than organized engagement. My focus is on observing and mapping mechanisms of power in a broader, global sense, rather than participating in coordinated efforts.
I’ll certainly keep following your work and look forward to future exchanges of ideas here. It’s encouraging to see others examining these underlying dynamics with such depth.
Christy, please hear this: The lie belonged to them. The life you lived—the work, the love, the endurance—that belonged to you.
It is a heavy thing to see the bars of the cage after 70 years. But seeing them means you are finally free of the illusion. You aren't ending on a lie; you are waking up to the truth. That is a victory.
I was pretty aware a long time ago. I just didn’t realize how deep the pit is. I have lived quite free, flying under the radar for 50 years- in other countries. I have learned so much by being part of other cultures- none who are free- none are. Thanks for your reply.
Hi Ethan, I think you have done an excellent job of summarizing the Global Public Private Partnership of the western Crowns and the multinationals that the European Monarchy Cartel (they are all the same families) control and have done for hundreds of years. As you pointed out only the names have changed. But regarding the American misnamed "Revolution" - it was in fact a civil war - I have some further insights you might be interested in digging into to understand its true purpose. The Crown and its partners in the BEIC deliberately set the conditions to impoverish the American colonists and set the stage for war and they set Thomas Paine to work to write a book: Common Sense, which ws the spark that set the war in progress. The BEIC elites wanted the war. Here's why. And some key references.
1. The British Crown army (possibly the BEIC's army) had fought a war against the Indians - 7 year war - which ended with the Treaty of Paris in 1763 and this set the Proclamation Line in place where the colonists were prohibited from further expansion west of the Appalachian mountains.
2 The treaty stopped the plan to take the whole continent. This is where I think they dreamed up the idea of the civil war (revolution) which would create a new America and then they could ignore the British Crown treaty and take the rest of the continent.
3. The Bank of England policies and other policies started impoverishing the colonists.
4. 1774 - Benjamin Franklin, a senior Freemason invited Thomas Paine to America.
5. 1776 - January Thomas Paine publishes Common Sense - and this book is upon careful reading a BLUEPRINT for creating the United States as it is - to take the continent, to create a republic to unify the colonies under a federal government, and to exploit the wealth of the continent - Paine all through the book uses the pronouns 'we, I, us, our' PRETENDING TO BE AN AMERICA - he rages against the king of England but NEVER ONCE ATTACKS the true power in the colonies - the Bank of England and its robbery, not the British East India Company - IT IS A DISHONEST RANT - intended to stir up the passions of the colonists who do not understand the real power - all they see is the kings uniforms. But don't be fooled the kings of England since 1066 when William the Conquer stole England on behalf of the Vatican and he gave a nod to the City of London and handed them a charter - it's all the SAME TEAM - think of them as the Roman Imperial Aristocracy - but the true brand as shown by their Lion of Judah is the House of Judah descendants as monarchies like the British claim they come from the House of David - those that the Abrahamic Bibles tell us have the right to rule the world - which is why I called the EU lot the Crown Monarchy Cartel - the bankers and billioaires and their multinationals work for the Roman Imperial Empire, which is the 12 surviving monarchies in Europe, represented on the EU flag by 12 stars, with a blue background for the monarchies - and this includes the Vatican which is the oldest absolute monarchy on earth.
6. The purpose of the civil war called the American Revolution was to destroy the prohibition of the Proclamation Line, which the king could not in good faith do - so they created a war and gave the Americans the illusion of freedom but they were always under the rule of the oligarchs - the constitution protected the wealth and power of the oligarchs, and also opened the door with religious freedoms to a flood of Roman Catholics, who prior to that had no political rights in America.
7. Benjamin Franklin, after the constitution process was completed, was asked what type of government that they had and he quipped: "A republic, if you can keep it." - that comment speaks volumes. They knew that just like the Roman Republic flipped back to a Crown monarchy system under the Roman Empire that this was their future intention.
8. There is further evidence, and a lot of it, in Saussy's book: Rulers of Evil, (free on Internet Archive) in which he goes right through the period leading up to and beyond the revolution and illustrates how it is all Roman Imperial Empire!!!! Hell every single symbol America uses is Roman Empire. It's not the American eagle - that's the Roman legions eagle. There's a reason that American fights all these wars.
So, off the top of my head that gives you a lot to think through.
You are DEAD right it is a Global Public-Private Partnership - but it is 100% the Crown powers of Europe that are in bed with all their multinatioanls, the World Economic Forum and the United Nations-they created these international organizations as NEO-MONARCHIES - they have IMMUNITY from everything (1946 IOIA International Organizatios Immunity Act) - they are PROTECTED and IMMUNE from prosecution despite their transnational criminal terrorism.
I understand all of this and have yet to study and learn these nuances, and I ignore it on purpose. I know it is important. But the regular people are not ready for these truths which are essentially revisions of history. What I am doing is setting the ground work for those who want to dig deep in the comments. When they find this, they will know.
Yes, you are right that it is (faked) history revisionism - and that this work is never popular with the western establishment - just look at the British historian David Irving who was effectively cancelled and his life destroyed for writing a book that called out the Holocaust as a British MI6 hoax to support the creation of Israel. But it is still important to write to it because for every person who sees such work and sees through the veil of lies and illusions that creates todays Plato's Digital Cave then we help to form a barrier to the perpetuation of it...
Don't be so lazy. Go read David Irvings books or listen to his lectures.
But I'll give you some hints, considering you seem to be CLUELESS.
How many Germans died in the Allies slave labor concentration camps after WW2? Was it more or less than the number that died during WW2?
What was the greatest impact of the Allies bombing campaign on Germany in the last year of the war and how did it affect the food supplies and conditions of the prisoners in Nazi camps?
And with a handle like "Karl Marx" we know where your ideology is centerd.
So I truly doubt whether you'll ever follow up because you are no doubt just a useful idiot for Communism. But I remain at least willing to admit that might be an incorrect view. Your comeback to this, if you dare to write one will identify exactly what you are.
How did the British East India Company raise a massive mercenary army?
It was not British.
It was the Roman Empire, disguised as the Venetian Empire, relocated to the City of London where it parasited the life blood and energy of the British people while using them as a human shield to take the flak for its diabolical totalitarian globalism.
It is now moving on to Astana, its new city in Kazakhstan. From there it will rule the remnants after it completes WW3.
It was the British that set up the system, the commonwealth consisted of many countries it “claimed “ as theirs, then slowly but surely, some of countries gained their independence. The commonwealth is much smaller than it was.
I know this because it was taught in my history class in school .
Feudalism seems to be the objective. The few to flourish at the expense of the many. The open spaces of a new continent allowed Americans to escape for a time, but technology has shrunk distance and eliminated anonymity and reduced freedom to an illusion. Yet the struggle remains. “Live not by Lies”
I love a little historical context, because then and now we're fighting for much the same things. Well here’s a little history. France late 1700s. Good times. Would the East Indian Co like a little of that FAFO?
I heard the word FAFO the first time when Pete Hegseth used it. What does it mean please?
F**k around, find out. It means-- mess with me, I will destroy you.

And the $20 billion to Argentina is not to “ feed children” etc it is to flow right back to New York hedge funds, etc, so I am told.
What what can average, middle class citizens do to stop these corporations from killing American democracy?

A historically accurate, and even better, INTERESTING, read ! Thank you! I've re-stacked..
That sums it up quite well. at 70 I have lived a lie most if not all of my life.
Cheers

Wow, where did MI6 get all those "FAKE" BODIES AT AUSHIWITZ FROM?
