Actually, Jesus taught that we have direct communion with God the Father through belief in who and what Jesus did and through the (Holy) spirit of Truth who was sent to give us comfort. The church of Rome created a heirarchy (Pope as vicar of Christ), a political organization to be an intermediary, in effect, denying the teaching of Jesus.
The early Christian Church (no divisions and not Roman Catholic) had 3 categories of books, not 2. In between “read in church” and “not read at all,” is the “not read in church” group. The Books of Enoch are in this category. They are not scripture, but are beneficial and edifying for the Christian.
When they cataloged the Dead Sea Scolls, Genesis by far had the most copies. A close second was 1st Enoch. So, although people were not hearing readings from Enoch in church, they’re were reading it at home without coming under excommunication or anathema.
Also, the Eastern Orthodox Church does not have an Old Testament canon. Note the Russian Church and the Ethiopian Coptics.
When you reference or write about a story you don’t repeat the entire saga. Everyone knows the story of Iron Man. When I write about it I can mention Tony Stark and readers know who I’m talking about. The Watchers are mentioned at the beginning of chapter 6 and 2nd century BC readers knew the story being referenced. 1st Enoch is extensively quoted in the New Testament book of Jude.
my guess is because they put too much work into selling Christianity they couldn't allow it 🤔

I'm so happy you interpreted this with your faith.
This is so good! I learned a lot and enjoyed the hell out of it
While I can appreciate the point you’re trying to make about AI, the Book of Enoch maybe isn’t the best way to do it.
