The reason we were able to bring Kimmel back, though, was because we had a really powerful multi-pronged boycott option: cancelling Hulu, Disney Plus, and ESPN. That was fortunate.
We didn’t have that powerful an option when CBS cancelled Colbert. Sure, some of us said we wouldn’t watch CBS anymore and we cancelled services connected with Paramount Skydance/Paramount (Paramount Plus, PlutoTV, Showtime, and associated cable channels), but it didn’t seem to have any effect. And there have been a lot of other things we didn’t seem to have much leverage on.
So what the hell can we do to push back hard against things like that? It takes a LOT of people pushing back, and there’s so much news overload happening each day, we don’t even have a great way for all of us to get on the same page together and work toward the same thing. I feel like I’m just flailing wildly every day, unsure of which actions and boycotts are more important to focus on. I’m also having a really hard time keeping track; I very nearly added the PlutoTV app again because I thought maybe I’d just never downloaded it (or had deleted it accidentally when I was cleaning my apps up recently).
You've hit on the absolute core of the problem, and your frustration is 100% valid. You feel like you're "flailing wildly" because the system is designed to make you feel that way.
You're right that consumer boycotts are a hard fight with limited leverage. That's because they force us to fight on the enemy's chosen battlefield—consumption. The Rust wants us to think our only power is in what we buy or don't buy.
But our real power isn't as consumers. It's as creators and amplifiers of a better story.
The point of the Kimmel backfire wasn't just the boycott threats—it was that the system's narrative fell apart. They told a story of "Kimmel is bad," and millions of people replied with a better, truer story: "Censorship is bad." The story won, not the boycott.
So, "what the hell can we do?" We stop trying to out-spend them and start out-thinking them. We create and share better stories. When you see a lie, you call it out. When you see a truth, you amplify it. You don't need to organize a million people to cancel their subscriptions; you just need to change one person's mind with a more powerful truth.
That's the real war. And that's a war we can win.
I hear ya. I feel the same way. Just when I’ve reached the AHA! moment, when I have it all figured out, and I’ve discovered the key to unlocking hearts and minds, then my next to do is follow it up, a plea to the willing to change non-sense to common sense, because we don’t sit at a dead end, we are merely at a crossroad … I wake the following day to find the next insane refrain from trump & Co. AHA! is quickly replaced with WTF?
I remember when I got the message about Shane. I immediately posted the shit outta it. I reminded readers that Shane lost his job because he was resisting. That the resistance is not just a buzz word but a brotherhood. When one of our brothers fall, then we’re by their side to support and lift them up. And that’s what yall did. I’m so proud of Shane and of everyone that helped. 😊❤️❤️❤️

You lost the election because you have no ideas because you don’t believe in anything concrete
Your party is pro death, pro dark, anti life, pro criminal, anti law, anti sovereignty etc etc etc
All the left cares about is grievance and holding onto power for its own sake and for those in power, damn the constituency-
And if that’s false, then why are you still campaigning to fix all the problems you created? Why are your constituents still suffering from one grievance or another??
The constant whining is not an inspiration to anyone but the most self loathing and deranged hive members
And until you snap out of it and realize you too are a member of the human race, you will continue to be rejected by the sane, informed voter

Common Sense ;)
Amen. It’s like shouting into a big, dark void and waiting to see if anyone at all hears you.

MAKE AMERICA 🇺🇸 GREAT AGAIN
It's almost comical how easily duped America's Youth are these days. You're fighting for people like George Soros. You're being bamboozled.
