To quote Radiohead, there are doors that do not open. As in the illusion of choice where none exists in all actuality. F fasçism, we live in a police state.

I can tell you that what seems like a waste of time during your life, is not so.

Having been there, through leaving my violent drunken father at 13. and starting work. becoming alcoholic at 20 going to jail for cocain posession, I suffered from no parental guidance. My father was an alcoholic and a pedophile who preyd on my sister's school friends, and their parents eventually knew, I head the conversations regaring what he was doing. I was used as a decoy for him I knew when I was taken somewhere in the truck and he would pick up a child and dump me somewhere to wait untill he finished then picked me up again. I was never aloud to speak to my father, we never had one conversation. I grew up alone in the country 9 miles out of town. My prime concern was not being seen by my father. That was hell , my escape was to disappear into the bush and carve pieces of wood into toy cars, I know now, I made things as therapy. I kept on doing so after I left home, and so collected friends who liked what I did They were well educated, writers, architects, poets , doctors, buddhists, they became my mentors they developed my intelligence with support and critisism. With their help I have become part of Australias cultural history , simply by signing my name on numerous pieces of fine art.

Fine art is the description of something useless, you can only lookt it. if it is usefull, as in jewellery , it can be worn,. then it is craft, it has to be useless to be fine art, So , I've become proficient at making useless objects for wealthy people, and what a priveleged life I now lead for someone deprived of everything children need, trust, love, respect, during my childhood.

I'm a fine artist, my parents died without knowing what art was, they were hunters, they shot animals for a living, and rode to town on a horse to sell the game to a butcher, 2 shillings for a rabbit, I remember, Writing is fine art in my opinion, you can only look at it. It is definitely an art with an intelletual habit, You have to think, It produces intelligence, school doesnt teach intellet, it teaches you that there is a pecking order and you cant escape it. now try for good marks, and the weak become clever , the others, footballers. Intelligence comes from a different angle. after school has finished. Keep writing, your doing well, your in there at ground level, thats where we're all standing, play for us, I mix with wealthy people all the time, I live at ground level where I was born, thats where the fun is, For anyone else reading this,, make something, you will benefit so much,

Laurie — this is the one that landed.

You didn’t rank it, fix it, or translate it. You put a life next to mine and left my table standing. Then you said keep writing, ground level. That was being received.

I’m sorry that was your house. No child should have been used like that. That you kept making things anyway is sacred. I became an artist too. It’s where I find peace.

Thank you for taking the stand beside the piece instead of over it.

I'm feeling that; people rationalize their commitment to the lowest standard rather than investing in a better plan. Meanwhile, we are targeted for both regular and random financial abuse to fund such while they look away, claiming it has been earned, is deserved and that it should be enough. 🔨Today is ours either way.

If I can offer you a piece of advice that has changed my life. Make your sole focus trying to raise your own vibration. Once you lift it up, out of a low vibration state you start feeling better & your life starts reflecting your inner state. I made this decision about 5 years ago when I thought… I just cannot carry on any more like this. If you want to know how I did this, you are welcome to reach out. I really feel for you. I can tell you that it is not any better in another country. Humanity is in transition. We are all living through the purge and exposure. Your dad may not have the capacity to process what this actually means. There is a massive silver lining on the horizon for all of us though. Hang in there…Acknowledge your pain, but know it is temporary, it can be changed and it is seperate from your soul ❤️

Being misunderstood by those we love is the most isolating feeling we as humans can endure. I hope you've been able to build an outside support system of chosen family.

Thank you. It wasn’t a misunderstanding. That would mean I was heard and heard wrong, and more words could have settled it. I wasn’t taken up. And I can’t go find a family in another room. I already said why: custody and money. If that door existed I would already be through it. I wasn’t asking for a way out of the table. I was reporting from it.

Sorry, but your suffering sounds like inconvenience to me. You're still learning. It helps being sober. I know. I won't approach speculating how much your lack of sobriety caused you to be in the circumstances you find yourself. Life is hard, pal. It isn't fair. No one said it would be. Which is why I suspect you grew up in the '90s when kids got Participation Ribbons just for showing up. It didn't prepare you for Real Life. Somehow I suspect you're doing it to your kids as well. I hope not. You know the saying about hard men creating easy times, etc., I'm sure. Don't teach your kids to be weak.

You literally weaponized Anthony's past sobriety struggles and slapped a "Participation Ribbons" label on it. You did exactly what the essay described: using a shifting goalpost and a judgment of character to dismiss a valid report of harm because you cannot handle the reality of the room without doors.

Wasn't your generation responsible for the education in the 90s? What are you talking about this is one big message of cope and ignorance.
