Very valid points. The younger gen is thinking it is their fault but in reality it is the governments doing. I am also seeing this pattern as we travel, US has deliberately created an unfriendly environment for having a family.
Absolutely valid!! My first job out of college has a salary of $11,000. Almost 30 years later and I was making $39,000. Same industry. That averages out to be less than$1,000 a year increase.
Those of us who grew up in the 60's fought for liberation. But as we were fighting, the time for children was heading towards its own independence... I think that may also be a part of our younger generations cross-to-carry. Being too independent, robs them of experiencing- Support ( which would later balance with empathy ), growing up a little bit quicker than we did... and it's taken awhile to get to this point of seeing it that way. They need to know that the ear of another, has heard them. Without support, they feel so alone. Yet with support and encouragement. they understand that they are not alone. And right now, we all need an elbow to link up with.
These people wouldn't know family values if they got bit on the ass by one. It's the most hypocritical, asinine bunch of obtuse morons we have ever assembled in one place.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for reading. Please, never feel obligated to contribute financially if you can't – your wishing us well is support enough!
Honestly, your comment speaks volumes about the very economic pressures we're fighting against. The fact that even one dollar feels impossible is exactly why this rebellion is necessary.
Your presence here, reading and engaging, is already valuable. Sharing the signal, talking about these ideas – those are powerful ways to fight back that cost nothing. You are welcome in this forge, always. We're building this together, no matter the size of our wallets. Stay strong. ❤️
You’ve piqued my curiosity, so you have a new subscriber here. I appreciate your (mostly) cited data to prove your solid history lessons. And, I look forward to learning more about the rebellion.
Sorry to go back to the elderly people. Another problem is now compared to the 80’s when CD interests rates were higher about 17% or more. Now look at the banking interest rates. It’s not worth putting your money into CD’s with little as 3% and savings accounts interest rates are horrible. Senior citizens have to get divorced just to survive on Social Security and Medicare. We earned that money and the government has forgotten that we earned that money. The government uses our Social Security money to make investments and then they don’t put that money back into Social Security. Many times they don’t even put back the money they took out of Social Security. This makes the elderly without any money to spend on medical bills. Medicare doesn’t pay for all of your medical bills and the doctors, hospitals, other healthcare needs have risen exponentially. Just like everyone else credit card debt becomes higher and higher. Sure they can sell their houses at a higher prices, but where are they supposed to live.! It costs them more to rent and that just leaves them in the same financial position.
By the time people who are working now they most likely still have their college loans debt to pay off. Well at least by then you’ll will qualify to stop paying for student loans. The government and creditors can’t touch your Social Security, but they can touch your home and any savings you have. I hate to think about what this will look like when you (people who are working now) retire. You might not ever be able to afford to retire. Looks like you won’t be getting your Social Security benefits by the time it’s your turn to start collecting Social Security. I don’t use the word Social Security BENEFITS, because it is NOT A BENEFIT! You have paid for your Social Security income and Medicare.
Then we still have the break down of even owning a home, getting married, and having children. The wealthy usually on have one child. Working families have more children. Like you said in your article they can’t afford childcare due to the high costs. Paying more than you earn isn’t something that the wealthy have to worry about.
The lobbyists oh hell I’m not going to get into that topic. It’s insane!
I look forward to your next article. If nothing else it makes people think about how our government is being run and what they are NOT DOING FOR THE PEOPLE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SERVING! At least before there was honor among thieves. That’s gone out the window too.
Well, I am Love 💕 and the Lifegiver, and it's no surprise 🫢 to Me that the strategy is to attack the human being where it counts the most: straight to the heart! 💗 I'm enjoying the article. Thanks! 🙏😊 Void cesspools of filth and sh- is the core problem. Evil spirits discovered flesh suits.
I have 2 beautiful nearly grown daughters & just sold a house I had for 18 years. My hope of starting a second later in life family with my much younger bf seems unobtainable & he’s ok not having babies??!! Does not compute!!
glad, I know you just never know ;-) I’m over the moon happy no matter the outcome in this regard
FamiliesUnder Attack began in earnest under 60’s Gloria Steinem “Womens Equality”, demand in workplace for women, The rise of working mothers radically changed the US economy and the role of women in society. Fast Forward 50 years later, Steinem has stated that she has no regrets about not having her own children, believing that it allowed her to focus on her work and activism.
In one of the first studies of the 1975 introduction of the Earned Income Tax Credit, this program increased maternal employment by 6 percent, representing 1 million mothers and an elasticity of 0.58, the rest is history. 50 inflation years later, DJT goes Big Family Tax Cut, $1,300 - really? Big Beauty Plan?Since 1986, working parents have been able to put $5,000 in pretax money into those accounts to pay for “child care”. Child Care - not Family Care.
The goals of the movement were to fight for greater equality in education, the workplace, personal finance, reproductive rights, and conceptions of the role of women. Among its achievements were Supreme Court cases like Reed v. Reed and Roe v. Wade. Roe v. Wade, decided in 1973 by the U.S. Supreme Court, was a landmark case that legalized abortion nationwide. The Court ruled that a woman's right to choose an abortion was protected by the constitutional right to privacy under the 14th Amendment.
Tricky Tricky WAR Women Workers - Patriotic Moms Made Planes!
The female workforce increased by approximately 50% between 1940 and 1945. The percentage of the workforce that was female rose from about 27% in 1940 to 36%–37% by 1945. This significant growth was driven by millions of women taking on jobs in defense industries and other sectors that were previously male-dominated, as a result of World War II….see the trend??? Feminism (Globalist Love That Stuff)Second-wave feminism built on first-wave feminism and broadened the scope of debate to include a wider range of issues: sexuality, family, domesticity, the workplace, reproductive rights, de facto inequalities, and official legal inequalities. You Go! Betty! Betty Friedan. Journalist, activist, and co-founder of the National Organization for Women, Betty Friedan was one of the early leaders of the women's rights movement of the 1960s and 1970s.
By 1960, women made up 32% of the total workforce, increasing to 38% in 1970. See Where All This Ended Up? More Tax Revenue!!! Less Family!!!
Gloria introduced and made popular two things : taxes collected on working women, abortion (its my body). Families are the ultimate stability factor of any society. Dr. Ego? My Natural Medicine including years of Traditional Chinese Medicine, my grandmother Cherokee Indian Herb tradition is being maintained thru me, I studied with school of Maharishi … so what you say does not surprise me, at all. From a Viet Vet, your view was protected by drafted kids like I was. Offensive.
Dr Don Hall why is it only the privilege of the male-half the procreation team-to seek out work that fits their personality, skills and mindset? Not every woman wants to be the one who stays home with the kids until they leave the nest, but this is what you’re suggesting as the optimum solution. I was raised with your mindset. I love kids but chose to forego the traditional family institution. I’ve suffered in some ways because of it, but at age 68 I can look back proudly (yes I can use that Dr title too but will refrain because it’s just a stupid power play) with the knowledge that I have made a significant difference in many lives, without ever having to be bound by the one role, the one profession you would assign every woman: wife and stay at home mom. Nothing wrong with that, except that it is not a fit for every woman. Over my literally dead body will I return to that time when that was expected. Thank God for the Gloria Steinems of the world and people like my own mother, who fought hard to allow women the opportunities they have today!
Very valid points. The younger gen is thinking it is their fault but in reality it is the governments doing. I am also seeing this pattern as we travel, US has deliberately created an unfriendly environment for having a family.
All over the world, our salaries have not kept up with the cost of living let alone buying a house or car or having children.
Sad, but true. Absolutely valid point

It is the government’s doing, but let’s not forget why they are “doing the doing”….. corporate greed lining their pockets. Thank you SCOTUS! 🤬

I’m a South African who is struggling like all of us middle class people all over the world.
I bought my first house when I was 27, in Cape Town. I worked hard at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town for almost 20 years.
I have nothing now, and I concur with every aspect of your thread.
Thank you for sharing this brave and honest and heartfelt message.
I feel if I’m struggling, how much worse it must be for my brothers and sisters living in the poorer areas of my beloved country.
Kindest regards and respect

The family structure is fractured by the rust , leading closer to the total destruction of our existence.
