Senator Ossoff’s January 2026 investigation documented 1,037 credible reports of human rights abuses in detention — 88 reports of physical and sexual abuse, 206 of medical neglect, 44 of family separation including mothers separated from breastfeeding infants. The administration declined to respond to five congressional oversight letters. DHS then banned unannounced congressional visits to the facilities.
The Iran war consumed $5.6 billion in munitions in its first 48 hours. A girls’ elementary school was destroyed on the first day. At least 189 children have been killed in 40 days. The Defense Secretary called rules of engagement designed to prevent civilian casualties “stupid.” The stated war objectives have failed. The defense contractor stock prices rose.
